I’m Naim. I’m thirty-two years old, from Antwerp, Belgium. I can safely say that my life up to this point has been very fortunate. I’ve been able to learn a lot, do even more, eat enough and drink too much. All hallmarks of a typically Western lifestyle.
I grew up in the Flemish region of Belgium, which means my native language is Dutch, and basically useless abroad. So I’m writing my stories in English in order to reach a wider audience. Belgium is the land of great beer and chocolate, the cradle of the incorrectly named French fries and the scene of eternal internal political conflict.
I studied electrical engineering at university so I became an electrical engineer. I like taking things apart and putting them back together, preferably in the same way.
To keep my creative sanity, I play violin, piano and bagpipes and I run and read books.
And I love to travel. I suppose that’s not really something that sets me apart, but in this context it seems worth mentioning. I have traveled extensively in the past and at this point I've managed to visit about 60 countries.
On this website you can follow my stories as I write them if you think they are worth the read. Check the overview to easily browse through them by location.
Have a good time!
Naim
